Types of Collabs Explained

On Inscend, a "collab" just means a job with a brand. There are three kinds. We explain each one in plain words below.

4 minutes 3 collab types
In short "Paid Campaign" pays you money. "Barter" pays you with a free product. "UGC" pays you to make a video or photo the brand uses in their own ads.

Paid Campaign (also called a "Job")

This is the simplest one. A brand needs people to post about their product. You post a reel or photo on your own Instagram. The brand pays you money.

  • You keep the product (if they send one) AND you get paid.
  • How much you earn can depend on how many views your post gets.
  • You will find these under "My Jobs" in your My Activity menu.

Barter

"Barter" means trading, not money. The brand sends you a free product. In return, you post about it on your Instagram.

  • You do not get cash. You get the product for free.
  • Good for creators who want to try new products for free and build their page.
  • You will find these under "My Barter" in your My Activity menu.
Word check: Think of "Barter" the same way you'd trade a toy with a friend. No money changes hands — just the product for your post.

UGC (User Generated Content)

"UGC" sounds complicated, but it is simple: you make a video or photo for the brand, but you do not have to post it on your own page. The brand uses your content in their own ads.

  • You film the video the way the brand asks (for example, "you holding the product and talking about it").
  • You send the video file to the brand. You do not need to post it yourself.
  • You still get paid money for making it.
  • You will find these under "My UGC Applications" in your My Activity menu.
